Welcome to the official Licensing & Brand Guidelines for PLAY FRIENDS™.

PLAY FRIENDS™ is an original character intellectual property (IP) created and owned by PLAYX Co., Ltd. This document outlines how our intellectual property may be licensed, presented, and used by authorized partners.

About PLAY FRIENDS™

PLAY FRIENDS™ is a family-friendly character universe featuring original characters, stories, artwork, animations, games, digital experiences, and consumer products.

Current flagship characters include:

  • Alpo™
  • Nana™
  • Tuna™
  • Coco™

Additional characters, stories, and worlds may be introduced as the PLAY FRIENDS universe expands.

Intellectual Property Ownership

PLAY FRIENDS™, PLAYX™, Alpo™, Nana™, Tuna™, Coco™, all future PLAY FRIENDS characters, logos, artwork, illustrations, animations, stories, character designs, names, visual identities, games, digital assets, and related materials are the exclusive intellectual property of PLAYX Co., Ltd.

No ownership is transferred through any license unless expressly stated in a written agreement.

Availability varies by territory, product category, and existing licensing agreements.

All licensed products and collaborations should reflect the core values of PLAY FRIENDS:

Partners should preserve these values across all customer touchpoints.

Character Integrity

Authorized partners must preserve the established identity of every PLAY FRIENDS character.

Characters should not be portrayed in ways that are:

  • Offensive
  • Violent
  • Sexually explicit
  • Politically partisan
  • Discriminatory
  • Misleading
  • Defamatory
  • Harmful to children
  • Inconsistent with the official character personality

Any significant reinterpretation requires prior written approval from PLAYX.

Logo Usage

The PLAY FRIENDS™ logo must:

  • Use official artwork supplied by PLAYX.
  • Maintain original proportions.
  • Include adequate clear space.
  • Not be stretched, rotated, recolored, distorted, or combined with other logos without approval.
  • Display ™ or ® where applicable.

Do not recreate or modify the logo.

Character Artwork

Only officially supplied artwork may be used.

Partners may not:

  • Redraw characters.
  • Create new official poses.
  • Change facial expressions without approval.
  • Alter colors or proportions.
  • Separate character elements for reuse.
  • Train AI models using official assets without authorization.

PLAYX will provide approved master artwork and style guides for licensed projects.

Marketing Materials

All marketing materials featuring PLAY FRIENDS intellectual property require prior approval before publication, including:

  • Advertisements
  • Packaging
  • Websites
  • Social media campaigns
  • Retail displays
  • Television commercials
  • Product photography
  • Promotional videos
  • Press releases

Approval timelines will be defined in the applicable licensing agreement.

Quality Standards

Licensed products must meet applicable safety, manufacturing, and quality standards in the territories where they are sold.

PLAYX reserves the right to request revisions or reject products that do not meet agreed quality expectations.

Territory & Distribution

Licenses are granted only for the territories, languages, distribution channels, and product categories specified in the executed licensing agreement.

No implied rights are granted outside the agreed scope.

AI & Digital Use

The use of PLAY FRIENDS intellectual property in AI systems, virtual characters, digital assistants, interactive experiences, or generative content requires a separate written license from PLAYX.

Partners may not:

  • Train foundation models using PLAY FRIENDS assets.
  • Create AI character clones.
  • Generate synthetic voices representing official characters.
  • Develop AI agents based on PLAY FRIENDS characters without authorization.

Whenever reasonably practical, licensed products and marketing materials should include the following notice:
